I got these back in January of this year in the US. Can you believe it’s taken me this long to open the second box?

To be honest, I’d forgotton about them, but found them in my room while cleaning.
So as you can see, got the gyoza/dumpling set in the first box…

I had about 90 photos all together, the best of them are above. The rest you can find on my Flickr however I’ve reached my limit and haven’t purchased a pro account – therefore soon you won’t be able to view them all.

Oh yeah, and why I haven’t done a post in over three months? Well, this about sums it up in a nutshell: I’m doing my final year of high school. ‘Nuff said. I actually have another post planned for a bit later this week, because right now it’s the 3 week holidays and I have a little more time on my hands for taking photos and such ^ ^ Hope everyone is doing well, thanks for reading~

One of my friends gave me a white Holga 120 GCFN for my birthday a couple of weeks ago ^^.

My black Holga 120 CFN (which I have owned for about three years) was getting a little old, so I’m very glad to have a fresh one. This one has a four-colour flash, just like my previous.

Oh yeah, and I love the fact that it’s white (very Mac). I know someone who likes that a little more than I do though…

Lomography is my favourite kind of non-digital photography. I also have a Fisheye Lomo, but it was broken after taking about three photos. Generally, for a roll of film taken with Lomos – Holgas in particular – you’ll be lucky if half the photos (which is 6 out of 12 for 120 medium-format film) turn out well. Here’s one of my better ones (without taping to avoid excessive light leakage):

Anyone else interested in Lomography or have thought about giving it a go?

Kirstin Dunst stars in “Akihabara Majokko Princess”, a short film by Takashi Murakami and hollywood director McG, where she sings a cover of “Turning Japanese” while dancing around Akihabara, Tokyo in mahou shoujo cosplay.

The video is part of an exhibition ‘Pop Life‘ at the Tate Modern in London. Filming took place in August 2009, but it seems the video has been released online as of this month.

Just thought I’d put out a warning that school stars again tomorrow for me D= x100 So please forgive whiny tweets orz but I’m going to do my best to do one post a week. That’s right I’m setting the benchmarks high! (Okay probably should make that one post every 1.5 weeks… 2 weeks… hmmm maybe I shouldn’t be making promises.)

Anyway, eight weeks goes wayy too fast… They should make our holidays longer. But technically they will be the last big-christmas-8-week school holidays I will ever have ^o^ crazy, I know.

Apologies for not have updating for 22 days, orz. So the following post is going to be picture intensive. You were warned. But there’s plenty of nice food photography if you like that (I know I do) and did I mention that I also visited Japan? Anyway, I sorted through about 2000+ photos and picked out some of the best in an attempt to summarise (minus Los Angeles and SLO which I covered in my previous posts) what has been a totally awesome four week holiday!

The subway – reminded me of the film Cloverfield.

UNIQLO in Soho. This place was PACKED – the queues to purchase clothing were as long as a theme park’s. If you aren’t familiar with Uniqlo, it’s a Japanese chain clothing brand, kind of a cross between American Apparel and Gap. Very colourful and a lot of clothing displayed/stacked super high up on the walls. I wonder what they would say if you asked for a jacket up on the top shelf?

The only shot I got of the amazing Tim Burton exhibition at the MoMA. Photography was strictly prohibited inside. I’m a HUGE Tim Burton fan so it was very tempting to take photos. I saw some rebels using their iPhones.

The store was fantastic! Picked up a few nice things ^_^

A lot of it was muy expensivo though, especially the CDs. The blue Ghibli one at the front cost something around $50-$60 USD

Kinda disappointed they didn’t have any plain armbands, the non-sweatband kind.

By the way, if you haven’t already figured it out, I was visiting Japan in the world showcase at EPCOT!

First time I got to try a funnel cake! So good… I wish they had them here in Australia.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Waiting in line for the relatively new Toy Story 3D Midway Mania ride at Hollywood Studios. I think we ended up waiting for 45 minutes or more… But it was totally worth it!

But luckily we had robotic Mr Potato Head to entertain us.

Grabbed some In-n-Out on our last day which we spent in Los Angeles before flying back to Sydney.

Well all that only scrapes the surface of all the things we did… but if I were to include everything, it would have taken me a week to finish this post ^^: I miss the US already… especially LA and Disneyworld! Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed reading and watching, and managed to stay awake through most of it =D

The room we stayed in at the Madonna Inn had a bathroom that just screamed ‘photo op!’, so I couldn’t resist doing some holiday figure photography with Kagami.

We spent new years in San Luis Obispo at the Madonna Inn – it was amazing! I tweeted some photos leading up to midnight and I’ll probs be uploading more to my Flickr. Next up, San Francisco!

Time for a quick update!

Before I begin, I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas! I was packing on my Australian Christmas day, then pretty jetlagged for my 2nd Christmas in LA but it was still great ^^ If you did anything special please share in the comments =)

Right now we are in Santa Barbara and have spent the afternoon on a Segway tour, which was probably more fun than the last time I Segway’d because Santa Barbara isn’t as quite flat and straight-forward as Venice Beach! So anyway, here is a small selection of the literally hundreds of photos I took over the last four days spent in LA:

Star Trek was a MAJOR disappointment. Has anyone else seen it and found it a let down?

I watched Lie to Me + four movies in total, one of which was shockingly bad so I didn’t take a photo of it. I’m not very good at sleeping on planes… I prefer to stay up and watch the in-flight entertainment.

Tomorrow we’re off to San Luis Obispo for a couple of nights… then on to San Francisco! And on a completely random note, I’m going to try and see Avatar at San Fran IMAX. Has anyone seen it? What did you think?

I just realised – it’s only four days until Christmas!

Discount clothing in massive piles… don’t know why people are so attracted to this kind of stuff. I do love a good bargain, but most of it looked a bit tacky ^^;

There was a Galaxy World games centre just nearby here and I was tempted to have a go on the Dance Dance Revolution, since I played it for the first time a couple of weeks ago when my friends insisted I try it. But it was occupied because the place was packed. Anyone else enjoy some Dance Dance? (I find a lot people are intimidated by onlookers and hence have never played.)

I’m an absolute sucker for these little stalls! Especially the stickers. I still have my enormous sticker collection from when I was eleven-twelve years old. Did anyone else collect stickers as a kid? Or still do?

*sigh* It’s places like these that make me go broke.

What caught my eye in this lot was the Hello Kitty contact lens cases (bottom right corner). Was going to buy but I already get two free cases with the coloured contact lenses I ordered a couple weeks ago. Anyone else slightly blind? Glasses, contact lenses or both?

That’s right – ice cream sushi! Or, err, ‘Sooshi’.

We went all out and got a six pack.

The ‘seaweed’ has a similar texture to Fruit Roll Ups, but softer. These ones had raspberry and apricot ice cream with jam in the middle. They were actually pretty good ^^

Recently I’ve been liking phone charms again. I used to have a huge collection on my phone on primary school, but then removed them all as I moved into high school… but now I’ve been getting them again from Gachapon machines. Sis got me a very cute blue ghost one – shall include a photo of it in my next post~

Got all excited over the chocolate things (by the way – that’s not my arm touching them haha, as you can probably already tell from the perspective of the photo) but found out they were pill boxes – completely useless to me T_T But I guess I could store Skittles in them?

Since Christmas is just around the corner, how is everyone going with preparations? I can’t get into the holiday spirit because we’re not exactly celebrating it properly. Our flight to Los Angeles is on Christmas day, but we are still having kind of ‘Christmas morning’. But the good thing is, I sort of get two Christmas days because when we arrive, it’s the 25th of December in LA!
