I’ve got to say… The second day of SMASH! was as fun as the first. Sunday was significantly quieter than Saturday, but there were still some familiar faces of other 2-dayers around. This time we got the chance to visit the wonderful Maid Cafe, as the lines were a lot shorter than the day before, as well as watch the cosplay competition.
But just a note for anyone thinking about attending SMASH (who hasn’t attended before) – make sure you go on Saturday, because by Sunday some of the best stuff (e.g. figures) are sold out. I was very, very glad I attended both days, because otherwise I would have missed out on my lovely new Tsukasa figma! =D
And now, as promised… here are my photos from Sunday.
(If you are looking for photos from Day 1, Saturday, see this post)
- DAY 2: SUNDAY -
Today I enjoyed a loverly Sunday lunch with the fam at a relatively new Sushi restaurant in a neighboring suburb. This was a change from our usual place, called ‘Sugoi’ (yes that’s right, sugoi as in ‘awesome/cool!’) and it’s a sushi train. It was pretty delish.

Not my soup. Too much meat for my liking.

The mysterious button... This little thing was about the size of a mandarin and fastened to the tabletop. We assumed you pressed it to call for service?

I can never go without ordering my favourite, baby avocado roll, whenever we go out for Japanese. Mmmm baby avocado... I'd already eaten them before everyone else's main dishes arrived.

The green tea was excellent - however I only had one cup, as I like to pour it early when it is weak - and when I poured my second, it had been brewing for about 10 minutes so it was too strong for my weakling tongue. I'm like this with regular tear as well - I always have it with plenty of milk. How do you like your tea?

The shop front had one of those LED boards. It only displayed opening hours and all that jazz... (I was kind of hoping for some fireworks or something).
