I’ve got to say… The second day of SMASH! was as fun as the first. Sunday was significantly quieter than Saturday, but there were still some familiar faces of other 2-dayers around. This time we got the chance to visit the wonderful Maid Cafe, as the lines were a lot shorter than the day before, as well as watch the cosplay competition.
But just a note for anyone thinking about attending SMASH (who hasn’t attended before) – make sure you go on Saturday, because by Sunday some of the best stuff (e.g. figures) are sold out. I was very, very glad I attended both days, because otherwise I would have missed out on my lovely new Tsukasa figma! =D
And now, as promised… here are my photos from Sunday.
(If you are looking for photos from Day 1, Saturday, see this post)
- DAY 2: SUNDAY -

My small but decent selection of loot from SMASH weekend (note the Tsukasa figma - will be posting about that later!)
Let me start by just saying SMASH con 2009 was A W E S O M E ! (and Iif you don’t know what I’m talking about, firstly shame on you! But secondly, SMASH! is one of Sydney’s major anime and manga conventions.) I attended with two friends and we were the Shuffle! cosplay group (did anyone happen to see us?) for both Saturday and Sunday. We originally planned for Death Note on one of the days, but wig troubles stopped it from happening. Hopefully we will be doing this for Animania in a few weeks instead! xD And thank you to anyone who said hi or recognized us… or took our photo – which was a heck of a lot! We must have been stopped about 50 times for photos. At one point our group was sitting side by side on a long couch and we were swamped by photographers! So many flashes going off… but it was awesome-fun (we felt like celebrities, lawl.)
ANYWAY… Enough of my jabbering. Here are the best of the Saturday photos (I will be uploading Sunday photos in another post shortly). See if you can spot yourself! So without further delay, please enjoy!
EDIT: Photos from Day 2, Sunday can now be viewed in this post.
- DAY 1: SATURDAY -
Here’s just a couple of my recent drawings from my 365-Day notebook ^^ (in case you are wondering I got it from Kikki.K and it looks like this). I draw in it every single day (so far I think I’ve only ever forgotten maybe four times). Today I did my 205th drawing =)

An extremely poor interpretation of Hojo Kuniko. (I did it in about 5 minutes so it's a bit dodge)
