One of my friends gave me a white Holga 120 GCFN for my birthday a couple of weeks ago ^^.
My black Holga 120 CFN (which I have owned for about three years) was getting a little old, so I’m very glad to have a fresh one. This one has a four-colour flash, just like my previous.
Oh yeah, and I love the fact that it’s white (very Mac). I know someone who likes that a little more than I do though…
Lomography is my favourite kind of non-digital photography. I also have a Fisheye Lomo, but it was broken after taking about three photos. Generally, for a roll of film taken with Lomos – Holgas in particular – you’ll be lucky if half the photos (which is 6 out of 12 for 120 medium-format film) turn out well. Here’s one of my better ones (without taping to avoid excessive light leakage):
Anyone else interested in Lomography or have thought about giving it a go?

Oooh you like the non-digital camera, eh? Very retro
I’ve never seen an all-white camera like that before.
Looks very nice! Love white electronics, if the white Lumix GF1 was available here I probably would’ve got that.
It comes in white?!
Only in Japan! I considered importing but it would’ve cost me a lot more than buying one here and I’d have no warranty. Plus, as good as the white body looks on its own, it looks just a bit off with the (black) lenses on.
Great job picking Drossel to go with the camera; their colours really compliment each other
Thank you =D
Me being a perfectionist though, I noticed how the white of the camera is a little warmer than Drossel.
Still looks absolutely fitting!
I had some rather interesting photos done with my Argus C3, that 50mm f3.5 Cintar made some b/w photos sepia toned (Kodak C-41 B/W 400).
I really like my Yashica 124 TLR, since it’s a TLR, people think your a artist photographer and leave you alone. But I love that camera, it’s is such a unique experience to use and enjoy.
Last camera, a Russian Zorki 4, awesome little 35mm L39 rangefinder. It was made in 1972 and so quiet compared to my SLRS and I can keep with me all the time since it is so small.
I need to post something that I think goes with one of my cameras with a figma or with a model rocket!
All those cameras are great!
In particular I’ve always wanted a TLR. I also love the Argus C3 simply for it’s looks.
I also have a HUGE heavy, and very old camera – which I have no idea of the name or type, I think it may be a box camera even though personally I don’t think it is one – and despite its bulkiness it took AMAZING photos using my 120 film. For example, I have a photograph of my guinea pig, focused on his face, and the light coming through the holes of the hedges behind him blurred in a kind of way that is impossible to achieve on a typical digital camera, or even a DSLR, without editing.
happy belated bday! and congrats on the new cam ^^
i had to google Lomography so that shows you how much i know about it ^^; but i like what i saw and that shot you took is very cool, especially with the fish eye effect. though that 50% rate of successful shots doesnt sound very efficient Lol hope to see more of these types of shots from you in the future!
Thank you!
Yeah, it does kind of look like a fisheye effect, but it’s just the vignetting from light leakage (I mustn’t have taped over the cracks that day – oops!).
Might put up some more recent lomo shots in the future =]
White…very cool.
=D it sure is~
^^; more jargons!! I’ll probably never touch film!!
LOLs
I’m probably more into digital myself, but you must try film.
It’s really fun working in a dark room and printing your own photos! Something you MUST try in the near future (:
i love the first picture!
