Kirstin Dunst stars in “Akihabara Majokko Princess”, a short film by Takashi Murakami and hollywood director McG, where she sings a cover of “Turning Japanese” while dancing around Akihabara, Tokyo in mahou shoujo cosplay.
EDIT: Okay so for the… let’s see… 3rd time, the YouTube version of this video has been deleted.
So please go here to view Akihabara Majokko Princess on Vimeo (where hopefully, it will not be removed).
The video is part of an exhibition ‘Pop Life‘ at the Tate Modern in London. Filming took place in August 2009, but it seems the video has been released online as of this month.

Sparkly shoes!!
Love her plaid socks.
(above) Dunst with Murakami! Cute xP
More photos & info about the exhibition itself can be found here.

I can’t say I liked the cover of Turning Japanese very much – I usually don’t mind Kirsten’s singing but something about this didn’t work for me – but she looks cute and the video itself is pretty fun.
Yeah… it sounds a little too much like her voice has been edited.
But visually it’s great! ^^
I saw this video earlier. I never thought anyone would ever put hentai into a music video.
LOL
I don’t think it’s an official ‘music video’ however… It’s just a kind of short film for the exhibition.
Is that the same Dancing Zombies as this?!
If so its ffing awesome!!
Love the Film Effects in the Video!
OMG IT IS!
Crazyyy
Yeah I love it too! Takashi Murakami’s visuals are awesome xD
Haha, awesome post. Song is pretty catchy, especially the “I think I am turning Japanese” part lolol.
Here’s another video from the zombie dancers:
Hmm maybe I should have made this clear in the post…
You do realise that “Turning Japanese” is an existing song by a band called The Vapors?
Akihabara Majokko Princess features Kirstin Dunst singing a COVER of it.
LOLs xP
that is a pretty cool music video, and i liked Kristin’s colorful outfit lol :3
I like it too.
Hmm new cosplay idea?
I saw this on DC, I gotta say, I kinda loved it to pieces XD You’d think skimpy clothes like that would look awkward on her, but it really doesn’t!
lol
You saw it on DC because of ME!
Read the text in Danny’s post again. He gives thanks to Koharu (that’s me on DC) because I posted it on figure.fm
=D
