USA Holiday

Apologies for not have updating for 22 days, orz. So the following post is going to be picture intensive. You were warned. But there’s plenty of nice food photography if you like that (I know I do) and did I mention that I also visited Japan? Anyway, I sorted through about 2000+ photos and picked out some of the best in an attempt to summarise (minus Los Angeles and SLO which I covered in my previous posts) what has been a totally awesome four week holiday!

Monterey Aquarium, CA.

Stopped for a snack at Nestle Toll House… (those aren’t all mine, by the way!)

Watching Bleach for the first time ever, dubbed version. It got a bit boring but people tell me it’s pretty good.

No that’s not my camera on an angle or your dodgy eyesight. That’s San Francisco for ya!

New York City

Took the above at Fairway. =.=;

F.A.O. Schwarz

I loovvveeedd these as a child, and still do. They’re Sylvanian Families. But in the US they call themCalico Critters’ which just sounds really lame =P

Caption this.

Underground Apple store! I filmed on my Lumix while walking down the spiral stairs, but switched it off quickly when I saw that a man walking a few metres ahead of us was asked to turn off his video camera =O

Central Park

Museum of Natural History

They had the BEST cafeteria!

Anyone seen Night at the Museum?

Excited girls lining up, in the freezing cold, for Nick Jonas at the Beacon.

Times Square

Toys R Us  @Times Square

Moving robot dinosaur!

The subway – reminded me of the film Cloverfield.

UNIQLO in Soho. This place was PACKED – the queues to purchase clothing were as long as a theme park’s. If you aren’t familiar with Uniqlo, it’s a Japanese chain clothing brand, kind of a cross between American Apparel and Gap. Very colourful and a lot of clothing displayed/stacked super high up on the walls. I wonder what they would say if you asked for a jacket up on the top shelf?

Taken from the theatre where we saw The Lion King at Times Square.

Serendipity 3

Purple tastes better than yellow nachos.

Their famous Frozen Hot Chocolate!

Dylan’s Candy Bar

I got the Mario Mushroom and Link’s shield mints, which you can see in the background.

It took all my self control…

The only shot I got of the amazing Tim Burton exhibition at the MoMA. Photography was strictly prohibited inside. I’m a HUGE Tim Burton fan so it was very tempting to take photos. I saw some rebels using their iPhones.

Quick breakfast in the morning before our flight to Orlando, FL.

Disneyworld, Orlando.

Disney coach on our way to Walt Disneyworld.

Glowing ice cube! They changed several different colours and could be ordered with most drinks.

One of my favourite rides =] Do you prefer a gentle spin or hardcore zooming in circles? I’ll take the latter.

Just threw this photo in simply because I’m so excited for this movie!

JAPAN

And here’s my visit to Japan!

Check out the authentic Japanese architecture…

The store was fantastic! Picked up a few nice things ^_^

A lot of it was muy expensivo though, especially the CDs. The blue Ghibli one at the front cost something around $50-$60 USD

Kinda disappointed they didn’t have any plain armbands, the non-sweatband kind.

By the way, if you haven’t already figured it out, I was visiting Japan in the world showcase at EPCOT!

First time I got to try a funnel cake! So good… I wish they had them here in Australia.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Waiting in line for the relatively new Toy Story 3D Midway Mania ride at Hollywood Studios. I think we ended up waiting for 45 minutes or more… But it was totally worth it!

But luckily we had robotic Mr Potato Head to entertain us.

Grabbed some In-n-Out on our last day which we spent in Los Angeles before flying back to Sydney.

Well all that only scrapes the surface of all the things we did… but if I were to include everything, it would have taken me a week to finish this post ^^: I miss the US already… especially LA and Disneyworld! Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed reading and watching, and managed to stay awake through most of it =D

Please note I am writing this with severe jetlag and am about to go to bed, so if I’ve missed anything out or made any major mistakes, please let me know in the comments ^^

Yeah I <3 LA. Would like to move there in the near future ^^
NY is great, but it's so busy all the time (and bitterly cold in winter) so you need a lot more time there to explore.

Why is everyone asking if I gained weight? LOL I would suspect though too from food pics =D Don’t think I gain anything really which was lucky!
But did gain a lot of items… we had to purchase extra bags for the flight back… I think I could have filled a whole one with loot that I got ^^
