Komart

Anyone been to Komart before?

I visited it for the first time recently after having din dins at the Outback Steakhouse (anyone been there either? Noticed how they’ve changed their ‘style’ as of lately?) Anyway, although it says ‘Asian’ I think that 97% of the products were specifically Korean. Managed to pick up a few nice things ^^

Okay this photo is from dinner at Outback but I just had to put it in because this drink is the best thing ever. It’s a Cherry Limeade and I highly recommend you try one if you have not done so already! ^^

It was packed with red glace cherries that were sooo good. They tasted like red Starburst. Okay enough with this drink, I think I’ll move on… (By the way I’m not endorsing Outback I just can’t get over how great this drink is, orz)

Got super excited when I found they sold bento boxes at this place. I purchased the red one above with the layers inside. ^^ Now I just have to learn how to cook the food that actually fits in them…

Whoah, smexy modern graphics alert! NSFW!

Check out the little blobby character on the bottle of mouthwash. Kawaii~!

Stocked up on some Korean Pocky.

Got one of those Melona ice creams too! (and no, I’m not talking about this Melona)

Mmm. Was actually really good… straight up it’s just melon-flavoured ice cream.

But remember, children:

On another note, as of today I’ve started trying out Zooomr because I’m too lazy (and cheap) to upgrade to Pro on Flickr. Zooomr is basically a knockoff of Flickr which is convenient, since what I needed was a high quality uploader that functions almost identically to Flickr. Still miss Flickr though… I’ll probably upgrade anyway. Anyone else heard of/tried Zooomr?

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. A certain Ojou-sama arrived in the mail just over a day ago! xD

    Aww lucky! There’s no decent asian supermarkets anywhere near me ;_;

    Those melon icecreams look nice~
Oh, and I’ve been to an outback steakhouse before.

They’re aren’t really any near me either. This Komart is out in Strathfield ^^
which Outback have you been to?
Or have you been to one in the US? (I think the US ones are better haha)

    Hey!
You dont have to upgrade Flickr ^^

After you have hit the limit of 200 pictures you can only see the 200 most recent pictures but the old pictures are still existing!
This basically means as long as you dont have to access your old pictures and arent bothered by the 100mb upload limit you can stick to flickr.

Theres even a Flickr tool called FlickR Uploader that loads all your images pretty nifty up.

Oh and I love Melon :P
Just bought some korean melon bonbons recently ^^

That melon-flavoured ice cream seems delicious!

The one at World Square is relatively decent too. Also, who is this ojou-sama you speak of?

Ahh, then I look forward to posts featuring your new Drossel then.

But yeah, I remember going to a Korean supermart once and buying their homemade kim chi. It tasted like shit. So then I gave it to a homeless person. Who then threw it back at me. Ungrateful little shit.

Haha, that reminds me of a time that my mum bought a can of Coke and a roll from Baker’s Delight and gave it to this homeless guy. We watched him take it, then cross the road, and throw it straight in the bin. =.=; He did keep the Coke though.

That melon-flavored aisu looks good. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever eaten melon ice-cream.

Many of these items u can find at ur normal discount store.
Actually u won’t find Melona ice creams at ur normal discount store so Komart is special in a way. ^^

I love Outback Steakhouse… I miss the retro version though, I do notice their new style (AND THEIR NEW MENU.) and I’m not really a fan of it. I’ve never heard of this drink before, I’m going to have to get on that immediately (candy flavored drinks are my things <3) I love their mac and cheese so much, and I'm not that big of a fan of mac and cheese either! We don't have Korean stores like this here, but i visited some when I was in California, I love those places! They had the Campus notebooks that are usually at least 5 dollars in the Japanese bookstores for only a dollar, and a wide selection of writing pens ;A; No where here to get cheap Japanese notebooks, unfortunately.

    • 20 thetsundere November 8, 2009 at 7:52 am

I don’t think I’ve ever tried their mac & cheese, next time I’m there I’ll order some!

And which stores did you go to in California? I’m going to be there for a while in January so I’ll check them out! and I really want to get some Campus notebooks for school =D

LOL they have some interesting stuff ^^ =3
That Cherry limeade is EPIC =3

That Cherry Limenade makes me want to get myself one (or something close to it: an ice-cold calamasi limenade), looks tasty.

Interesting, a melon-flavoured ice cream, and its called “Melona”…
If it was called such, we now get to taste on how Melona of Queen’s Blade taste like? Ohoho… Good flavour  :D

  13. 26 rockleelotus November 10, 2009 at 3:10 am

sign looks like K Mart lol asian markets that have pocky are awesome! mmm look at all those ice creams, the first thing that caught my eye was the “Melona” will give QB fans a giggle ^^

    ohhh congrats on your ojou-sama!

  14. 28 Quaestor November 11, 2009 at 8:16 pm

Melona is a fever here in Brazil, even non-Asian specialized groceries and restaurants sell it. Actually, it is not only Melona, it’s a whole bunch of Korean ice cream.

And the Korean Pocky is called Pepero, no? I find it rather nice, but still prefer the original Pocky. Am still looking for the limited edition Mikan Pocky but I just can’t find it anywhere. :3

    • 29 thetsundere November 12, 2009 at 9:26 am

Pepero, cool ^^ (can’t read Korean xP)
Yeah, original Pocky is the best, I like that it’s thinner and more delicate.
Mikan Pocky sounds interesting! Orange flavour… mmm. Unlikely I’ll be able to find it here in Sydney though >.>

For Australia (right?), I think it’s not difficult to get Asian food stock ^^

The towel reminds me to City Hunter lol
